The Camden Labour Party has become a truly hostile environment for every party member apart from a vetted collection of right wing 'Yes' men. First, the gunsights were turned on individual members; next the NEC was instructed to proscribe certain organisations that did not toe the line; and now some of the hardest working councillors are being blocked from standing for re-election. This approach has all the hallmarks of a dictatorship not a democracy.

The behaviour of the party enforcers and apologists has triggered an unprecedented reaction from the public. Individuals and organisations who have perpetually remained politically neutral have suddenly come out of the woodwork and urged everybody to vote the current impersonation of Labour out of existence? Why? Probably because Starmerism is proving to be more toxic than any version of Blairism.
